Iโm sure a lot of people figured that ash wouldnโt be worth main decking and thus lab traps resolve more.
As oppose to 100% mind you. And a good portion of the ashless lists are Lab. It makes sense that more lab is in top cut if less ash was played in the non topping decks. And that the decks that continued to play ash also made top cut and were not eaten alive by the lab match up.
But there is still a lot of Ash, called by and crossout played. Don't most people say there would be less Ash and called by? Somehow it doesn't look like it
I mostly see Ash in Snake eye........ which is a deck that can use it as a combo piece .... called by is grave hate so of course its going to be played in a grave-heavy format

Ash really isn't the best card in a t0 SE format, but yes, you still play it without Maxx "C" in SE format.
Not the best, but you make them go 2 for 1 and you can even end their turn if they dont have an extender.
you need to give people time to adapt to a new format , they might also need to craft cards they didn't need the previous format

Banning Maxx C wonโt fix the meta. Banning Maxx C would allegedly reduce the number of non-games as well as let people not have 9 cards of their deck auto-decided.
The games def felt more skillful without maxx c, you just feel like you sacked / got sacked when you win or lose by "C" tbh.

it's not that weird. you send snow to summon sanctifire, sanctifire reborns albaz on opp's turn to make mj. the snow in the gy banishes bf for an additional interrupt and makes your shs effects live again.

Are people not seeing the quality of matches...Yes the decktypes conform to the old meta, but yoinking a wincon on draw is extremely nice QoL. Hope this event gets enough positive feedback to continue rather than people spitting on a good thing. Every criticism I see is just exacerbated when the stupid roach rears its head in decks agains.

Yup, turns out banning Maxx C doesn't magically catapult FTKs into tier 1 status like its defenders would like you to believe.
Only because outside of SHS, FTKs actually suck ***, and even then SHS are very likely to have better plays to do. No reason to commit into FTKs when the the expected best deck in format run nearly twenty hand traps

Maxx C banned, yet people still play Ash, CBTG and Crossout. I thought you people said those cards are only played because of Maxx C and limit deckbuilding? Turns out not. Not like I believed that for a sec. I don't like Maxx C, but the kind of cope you people come up with to justify its ban is hilarious. Card's broken, simple as, but exists in MD at least because this game is already too cruel for 2nd players even without it, expect it to be banned when they release the next generation of Archetypes that are so strong they don't care about turn 1 boards.

Smoke Grenade has been banned in MD for what, a year now? Dolphin is only accessible through Connector which you need to hard open, you speak of it as something that happens every game. Infernoble end board is respectable but saying it "makes Adam jealous" is stretching it. Some Adam lines could set up Fossil Dyna and have protection for it as well.

Their usual endboard is... 2 spell/trap negates, 1 monster negate, and a spell negate that counters super poly which is a bs card anyways, alongside 2 pops. It's not "8+ negates" at all lmao.
1- Smoke Grenade has been banned for a year like the other guy said. 2- INK doesn't play Ken and Gen, you're confusing it with Mikanko and the Golem lock, which is cancer, yes. I do agree that dolphin is cracked tho

Because Maxx C is a band-aid solution to that and that band-aid needs to come off eventually. They can't keep designing the most degenerate combo decks known to man and then using "well maxx c is at 3!" as an excuse.
people keep saying that maxx C prevents combo deck, as if control decks don't require any special summon at all. Imagine your opp set up full combo with snake eyes or branded, then throw max C on sky striker face on 2nd turn. Komoney should release more board breaker or some card similar to typhoon and ban maxx C.
