Notes & Combos
From D4 to M5 with this deck. A bystial control deck using the new light&darkness dragons.This deck wins by outgrinding the opponent with HTs and bystial card-advantage.
MAIN DECK: I changed the deck a lot during the climb trying every possible version (except 60c one)and this is the one that made me climb from D3 to M5 very quickly after I was stucked for a bit in D3-D2. Normal Summons are Chamber and Seyfert, if I open both I summon Seyfert cause he usually bait more HTs, also if you open evaporation/sublimation you can use the chamber in hand to go into Sheou. I preferred seyfert package over black metal one because better in grinding, but I think they are close, choose the one you like more. Primary goal is to end on Seal, possibly with Tidying and Regained. After I was matched agains Tenpai 10 times in a row I added 2x Anti-Spell instead of CBTG and the deck felt way better considering that I play only 1 spell and I don't even activate it from hand.I tried different ratios of Evaporation and Sublimation, most the times I played 3 Evap and 0 Sublim because I thought he was better, but having both is definitely the way,maybe also 2 Evap and 1 Sublim.
NON-SEAL COMBOS:
- Crow/Veiler/Ogre+Lubellion: lub add magna->normal summon the ht->almiraj->banish the ht with magna->set-up regained->s:p banish lub->draw 1->add bystial (don't be scared to "waste" an HT,if your opponent use something to interrupt is what you want,if you got maxx c just stop and he can't use it next turn)
- Chamber+Evap/Subl: ns chamber->add tidying->summon evap/Subl->sheou (in this case I prefer sheou over seal, but it's pretty much the same)
EXTRA DECK: I think the extra deck is fine considering that often I was locked into Dragons (go into non-dragons Extra Deck before u summon Evap/Sublim. I cut the 2nd Dmaid House at the end of the run cause I never summoned it and I added Goddess instead. Dragonlord came rarely up, but consider that I played more the 3 Evap and 0 Sublim ratio.
PROs:
- Really good vs Maxx C/Charmies;
- Good going 1st and 2nd
- Insane grinding and card advantage
- Does not suffer any HT, which means good HT trades( My HTs made always more work than my opponent ones)
- Fun and interactive gameplay (which is rare in YGO)
- Really good vs GY-centric decks and Light&Dark ones
CONs:
- Hard vs Backrow Decks (especially floodgate ones)
- Hard to break heavy boards (u usually try to stop it before with HTs).
- Tenpai(sometimes)
