Notes & Combos
Ramadan Mubarak. Have nothing to do this weekend, so I decided to turbo the climb.
Some slight adjustments for the current meta. Shifter is strong, especially with significantly less Tenpai and more grave-reliant decks. Ogre can destroys Deception and Sengenjin. Bystials can halt Fiendsmith and White Forest. Switched Called with Debunk for more Trap count and to counter opposing Bystials. Also I finally got my second and third Impermanence from the packs when searching for Alt Belle.
The matchups were still quiet varied, although like 25% of the time is Fiendsmith Snake-Eye/White Forest variant. A lot of people are teching Kashtira. Which we are strong against.
Against Snake-Eyes/White Forest, they basically get more negates and resiliency, but can still be broken going second with some combination of Frenzy, Ferret, and Counter Traps. Due to Fiendsmith taking a lot of Extra Deck Space, most people stopped using White Woman (well technically they now used her loli ver), so we can be more patient with the traps. Beware with Lacrima's burn and Chaos Angel. They often changed the outcome of the battle.
Going second against Exodia is very rough, unless you are on Lord of the Sky Prison. I didn't get matched with them enough, though. Going First, Brave-Eyes or Rexterm can handle them, but watch out for their non-engine. A lot are using Super Poly and Lava Golem. Sometimes I just let them to activate Ankh and chain the Starters to it so I am guaranteed to not get Lava Golem'ed. Activate Rex's effect to raise Exodia's ATK so it can't activate its effects.
Overall, not so bad as I thought. I think it wiould be better if I were using high-impact handtraps instead, as the top decks are very resilient, but this seems to be good enough.
