Notes & Combos

I was hoping to post this once I hit M1 but I haven't been motivated enough to continue with the grind in this mind-numbing format. Getting to M5 though was relatively smooth but beyond that it gets rough. Overall, I got a couple of 7 or 8 win streaks so if the game is being fair and you're not losing the coinflip against Tenpai every game then you can do things.

Before talking about the new changes, I wanted to mention a few things about Disablaster. I think it's a good card to have as it opens up new lines, can be used as a negate, and basically adds more flexibility to the deck. It's also part of the reason I added the new card that I will be talking about next.

In my previous list, I added the 2nd Nachster to help with the consistency issue of the deck and while sometimes it was good to open, a lot of times it was a brick. I soon replaced it with Foolish Burial as I think it's best option available. It's a combo piece and can be used as a starter or extender. For example, if your opponent controls a monster then Core + Foolish is full combo. It's also a Thrust target which is important to remember.

The other change that I did was taking out 1 Lightning Storm and going back to 40 cards. I love that card but it can useless or underwhelming in some matchups like Mathmech or Centurion and you can brick on it when you open duplicates which feels really bad. I will say though if you feel like you really want to open it then you can try adding back the 2nd copy and playing with 41 cards.

If you feel like you really want to add something for Tenpai then I think your best option is Electromagnetic Turtle. It's probably not worth running though but it's something you can try.

New here so forgive me if this has been answered before, what's the use case and thought process on including Anima in the extra? Couldn't we benefit from another Cydra fusion? Thanks for your efforts

Anima is very important. It's a unique boardbreaker that has great synergy with our other cards like Herz, Core's effect in the GY, Kaiju, S:P, and Verte. I'm pretty sure I use him in some of the replays so you can refer to them for examples. It's also important to keep in mind that in the current meta a lot of decks can just spam monsters so they will basically be forced to play into it. As for the Fusions, the ones I'm using are all you need...

Sorry for being a noob to modern yugioh, but how exactly do you bring our the Angel syncro card? I only see ash blossom for syncro, would you need three cards to summon it using ash blossom as one of them?

Chaos Angel does not need a Tuner (read its effect). You can either use two level 5 monsters or Core + Fortress...

You probably want to replace it with Fuwalos. You might also want to take out 1 Herz or Foolish for a 2nd Fuwalos...

Well, I'm not finding the time to grind but I did climb from Gold to Diamond last week with it. I will be posting an updated list once I hit M5 which should be in the next week or so. Other than the cards you see here, try to get Fuwalos because you will need it...

what do you think about droplet & mayb 3 disablaster for an additional dupe target

For Disablaster, I've talked about it in my previous list. Playing more than 1 is not good because it's not engine and doesn't help you see engine even if you Dupe it. The reason to play 1 is because it's a searchable extender that can be used in certain lines. It's borderline cuttable and there's a good chance of me not having it in my next list. As for Droplet, it doesn't work well in this list because we can't afford to discard cards and it doesn't remove the monsters from the field so we would rather play something else here like handtraps...

What is the Core + Foolish full combo line? You mentioned the opponent having a Monster, so I assume it starts with Foolish send Core in deck to GY > Core’s banish ability to Special Summon ? > ???

You send Herz with Foolish then use its effect to add OG. Since your opponent controls a monster you can special summon OG then normal summon Core add Repair Plant add Disablaster special summon it make Nova revive make Infinity link into Verte and make Rampage...
