Turn 1 is best so that you can activate traps on their turn and hopefully negate some stuff and control the field. As for witch's strike, it's a hard counter to the adventure package cuz everyone runs the gryphon and can't resist on negating the activation of one of the 15 million traps this deck uses so it's almost always possible to get that card off and get rid of their field and hand with it and pretty much getting a free win in most cases
